Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, working with Malcolm Reading Consultants, has announced the six finalists who will take part in second stage of the international design competition to expand the Kansas City, Missouri institution.
Ahead of the crowning of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2024, aka “the UK's best new building,” on the evening of October 16, the Royal Institute of British Architects has released short films on each of the six shortlisted projects.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, which last expanded in 2007 with the Bloch Building designed by Steven Holl Architects, will hold a design competition later this year to select the architect for its next expansion.
