This listed property built in the 1900s - situated in the leafy suburb of Oberschleissheim, near Munich - needed a complete interior renovation. SGIA was approached by the client, a first-time buyer who wanted a simple but elegant interior design solution that might be suitable for the rental market as well as a family home. A new kitchen and bathroom was fitted, materials and colour scheme picked and SGIA oversaw all works in the renovation from first draft to project completion. The finished solution is light-filled and warm, with design ideals that showcase the property's charm and original features without over-shadowing them. Colour schemes pick up on motifs and tones in original paint (kitchen tiles echo the green of exterior doors and shutters - taking the outside inside) and 1900s wallpaper that was uncovered during the renovation, bringing this time-warp home back to the future.
