Double Gymnasium Wartberg School

The former gymnasium of the Wartberg School was in a dilapidated condition. Due to the small site area and the request to preserve the existing all-weather sports ground, the concept proposed a stacking of the required two gym units. As the surrounding area is dominated by two- to three-storey buildings, the volume of the gymnasium is divided into three horizontally layered sub-section, which with their respective eaves reference the scale of the surroundings.
